In 2008 PDM installed a 1MW solar power plant, the third for extension in Europe, which provides enough energy to fulfill the production cycle avoiding the emissions of more than 1,300 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere, equal to the absorption capacity of a 4.4 hectares forest.
